Ajay Mahajan
Founder & Chairman
Born and raised in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, Ajay Mahajan has dedicated his life to public service, community development, and sustainable entrepreneurship. A former Member of the Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.), he now runs the Sat Mahajan Charitable Trust, focusing on the welfare of Nurpur’s people.
Driven by his deep passion for the region’s natural bounty, he founded Himherbs in 1994, making it one of India’s first herbal tea companies at a time when green and herbal teas were virtually unknown. Through his unwavering commitment, traditional knowledge and modern enterprise have united to form Himalayan Amrit—a brand rooted in authenticity and infused with the Himalayas’ healing power. Today, Ajay continues to guide sourcing and production standards, maintain key business partnerships, and support financial investments essential to the factory’s growth.
